Is it time to think about Easter? Yes, Apparently!

Since the stores are filled with Easter grass, baskets, and candy, I guess its time to add to Easter designs on the site! This week has been a hodge podge of work for me so far...I am adding some new designs and stationery items that have been waiting to be added for weeks...working on some new Easter and graduation ideas, and still plugging away behind the scenes on product & pricing updates...which by the way, is very time consuming! I would much rather work on designs! Here is a link to the new pricing structure.

I will be out of my studio for the rest of the mornings this week. (I will be working each afternoon).

Custom Birthday Invitation -- Photo Cards & Stationery

Added a fun new design that I used for my oldest son's birthday invitations! The colors are vibrant and cheery, and I adore how his came out. (Still sad that my son is going to be 6 in less than two weeks--where has that time gone?!!)

Busy Schedule this Week, New Designs Added... Cutie Pies Custom Creations Photo Cards & Stationery

This week is going to be really busy in the Cutie Pies house! Tomorrow morning I will be out for my weekly volunteer day at my oldest son's school. We have several appointments this week, I am working on tax stuff, and also planning my oldest son's birthday party, plus my middle son has a playdate on friday! Whew, I am exhausted just thinking about all there is to do. I prefer my weeks a little less jam packed. Oh, and can't forget the possibility of snow/icy weather thrown in a few times over the next few days that could throw kinks in these scheduled events.

(In conclusion, please bear with me if I take a little longer responding to emails/questions/orders!)

Today marked the day I started using my brand new packaging. It's top secret right now, but I can promise its super cute, and adds such a nice touch to your precious photo cards. One of the many little changes being made right now behind the scenes!

I finally got some of my newer wedding invitation designs added. Still more to come when I have time!

Sharing a valentine smile

These were simply too cute not to share! Today was my middle son's Valentine party at preschool. So, last night, we got all of his Valentines packaged up & ready to go. They requested no names on the envelopes for the kids (easier for distributing to 50 other kids) but he wrote the names on the the outside for his teachers. I had planned to write their names down and have him copy them but he wanted to spell them all by himself, and decorate them as well. He is 4 and wants to do everything his bigger brother does...and he happened to be addressing all of his Valentines for his first grade classmates. I got such a kick out of these I had to snap a pic to remember them! My favorite is on the bottom left. His teacher's name is Miss Susan. (aka Mes SOOSEN!)

Some Sad News

Some sad news in our house tonight. Our little dog Jake had to be put to sleep. He had been sick on and off for the last few months, and lately seemed worse. Hubby noticed that he looked really bloated and was concerned. They suspected his spleen had ruptured and also thought he might have cancer. Tonight, the put him under and looked to see if it was operable, and discovered his liver was full of cancer and his spleen had cancerous growths as well. Prognosis was to operate and possibly give him 1-3 months on medication with a questionable quality of life or to let him go.

I am saddened by the loss, but happy that Jake got to live a long, happy life. He was 11 years old. Love & miss you, Jakers!

Candy Cane Heart Lollys

This afternoon, after school, I did a spur of the moment photo session with the big boys. I just loaded the pics before dinner, and when I get them to bed I will be going thru to see if I have any keepers for their Valentine cards. I hope so!

I came across these cute homemade heart lollys made from candy canes last week, and as we have some leftovers from Christmas, I am going to make these as a fun Valentine activity with the boys this weekend or next week. I think they would be super cute for pictures too, but I don't think we will be able to make them in time to get pics and make Valentines too.

Valentine Sneak Peak! Cutie Pies Custom Creations Photo Cards & Stationery

With the big boys both in school this morning, and the sun sorta out (as much as it has been for the past snowy/yucky/wintery weather week) PLUS me realizing in a panic that I really need to get my own kid's valentines made (EEK!) I decided my youngest would have his photo session this morning. I never have very high hopes for our photo sessions...planned picture taking does not usually go over well in this house, so I am pleasantly surprised when I produce a winner! Parker was only a semi-willing participant today. I got about 20 or so shots before he told me he was done and climbed down off the bed. I may try again, though his Valentines really are only for family--its his big brothers that will hand theirs out at school, so I may just accept what I got. I edited my favorite shot & whipped up 2 different Valentines. One is the same design I posted the other day, and the other is a slightly customized version of this design on my site. I like the picture, though I would have been happier had I been able to get a smile in the pic rather than this lolly in his mouth. Ah well. One down, 2 to go!
